Mafia defence against Grand Prix

From my experience Mafia Defence transposes into a dubius King's Gambit

  • 2.f4 is not the Grand Prix.  That requires the moves Nc3 and ..Nc6 to be included.
  • There is no reason for this 2..e5 innovation as 2..d5! is quite good.  (This is the reason for Nc3 on move 2.)
  • 5.h4 is a better try than your 5.O-O.  We have a Kieseritzky where White has an extra move Bc4 vs. the nondeveloping ..c5.  Why is it 'dubious'?  5...g4 6.Ne5 Nh6 7.d4 looks hideous for Black.

2. f4 is the old move order of the Grand Prix.

The Mafia Defense to the King's Gambit is 1. e4 e5 2. f4 c5. The name seems to be a joke, "playing the King's Gambit like a Sicilian" = Mafia Defense and makes more sense when you go from that move order.
