I think black is better

I am not sure if white has a compensation for the pawn they sacrificed

It seems that black has a pretty solid position

I always find it strange that black goes Ba6 and then Bb7. I don't feel like the white queen is misplaced on c2 at all and it just seems to give white an extra tempo.

If the queen was on d1, d5 wouldn't be a pawn sac instead it would be crushing positionally

I don't know about that, Bb4+ and Bb7 are both very playable for black. Besides, black doesn't have to allow d5.

Then c5 would definitely be a mistake of course, but I think black has a very good position after Bb4+. I generally play Bb7 in these positions but I appreciate the insight into the Ba6 line.
