i dont believe this, i posted a beautiful trap and no one wants to comment.

Daaaaang!  That is cool.  How is it Magnus' trap?  Did he reallly author this?  This is cool.

Honestly, I don't imagine most people being brazen enough to grab that center pawn.

That's not a new trap. It's been seen before and this vartion is rarely played in today's chess. Black plays e6 instead of g6.

Magnus Smith was Canadian chess champion in 1899, 1904 and 1906.  He became friends with the world champion Emanuel Lasker, and worked on Lasker's Chess Magazine in the U.S. from 1907-1910.  He probably first published the trap there.

This is just a moveorder mistake that loses, more than a trap!

orangeboy ng4, e6 leaves black in a horrible position.

8...Nd7 might be playable there.

again, simpledimple, e6 leaves black with a bad position. not AS bad, but still pretty bad.
