Botvinnik carls was a line reccommened by a lot of youtubers who reccomend the caro, especially GothamChess. I personally greatly dislike playing it from the black side, and it was the reason I almost quit the caro, as everyone recommended it, so I felt like I had to play a line I didnt like.
Anyways, enough with my little pity party. What do you mean "advance bayonet attack"? What you have on the board is the short variation..
What's the latest opening you seem to be facing a lot of?
Just asking because recently I've been trying bullet games and over and over and over again I keep getting something called the Caro Kann defense advance botvinnik carls defense.
Also the caro kann advance bayonet attack.
Neither seem to be that good but then again I play in pretty low elo games especially on bullet.
I seem to get a few moves in then encounter pauses which I guess suggests I played down a line they didn't want me to.
Maybe these are just common in bullet games, I didn't see either of these openings for months now they're both so common I basically have my hand ready to move to the best positions against them as soon as I see the karo Kann forming.
