I was just wondering what people think about this opening. As white, I don't like playing against Sicilian for a number of reasons. It tends to be more theoretical and my knowledge of opening theory is not so good. I also don't like immediately trading away my d-pawn for a c-pawn.
I've tried playing this opening, and I kind of like it because it takes my opponent out of opening theory (at least a little bit), it gives me chances to control the center, as well as some fun trap opportunities (especially if playing blitz). The line I'm most interested in is the following, because although white is sacrificing at least 1 pawn, Stockfish still gives White the advantage. It's not totally clear though for me how to regain the advantage in principle - White has more mobility and the Black Queen isn't very well-placed, but is it fine to just play natural-looking moves after this, or is there a better strategy here? Thoughts on this opening in general?
