That's the wrong way to play the game. If I am "uncomfortable" about a pawn move, that's the time to hit the breaks and spend time analyzing it rather than taking the "Hope Chess" or even worse "Flip-Coin Chess" approach and going one way or the other at lightning speed. When you analyze, if all you are doing is saying "I hate this move, I hate this move, I hate this move, it makes me nervous, it makes me nervous, it makes me nervous, ...", you are not analyzing.
I realized when I don't play the normal openings is when I play good pawn moves but when I don't, I feel nervous.
Always remember that pawns are the one piece that cannot move back. So you need to evaluate what youre gaining, over what youre giving up.
