Oh well, so much for whimsy.
What is the worst first move for White? The UNBIASED thread, all trolls welcome

I'm just trying to figure out what the fatal dosage is for ranch dressing.
Pretty much any of it (you'd never catch anyone heisting $30 million of that).

The daeth opining suks and so does the ....hahahahahahaha.....they only work with a computer aiding them or in button pushing contests...

d4 is only okay if you are playing the daeth opining
Exactly. So I'm conflicted about whether or not to vote for it. The Daeth opining is the future of chess, but all other opinings that begin with 1. d4 suck really bad.

think about it. e4 is the worst possible move because everyone is expecting it. it's such a common move that nobody plays it

Updated! 1. d4 still has an absurd lead over all the other options!
Well, this thread is full of absurd idiots, so there's no shock there!
1.d4 scores the absolute highest of all 20 legal moves by White. 1.d4, 1.e4, 1.Nf3, and 1.c4 are all perfectly sound.
If I had to label 1 move the absolute worst for White, it would be 1.g4, hands down!

Perhaps they're using psychological mind-games in an attempt to make people think that the best move is, in fact, the worst move, so they wouldn't have to play against the best move as Black? Eh?

Using the computer engine Deep Hiarcs 14 analysing to 19 ply (9.5 moves deep) the worst first moves for White are:
1.g4 with position evaluation of -0.53 in Black's favor (well done ThrillerFan)
1.f3 with a position evaluation of -0.48 in Black's favor, no doubt due to exposing the King and taking away the best square for the knight.
1.b4 at -0.42
1.a4 at -0.28.
I'd say H4.
