Levy and hikaru are more on the fun side, whilst chess network goes over GM and computer games
They're entertaining. Similar to other online personalities that get viewers for various reasons. They've turned it into a business, good for them.
And sure, they're not the best chess players, but are far better than the average tournament players and there are plenty of online people that get more viewers (which equals more $) that don't play chess. So it's not all about chess.
I actually like seeing their streams from the live otb tournaments. It allows the non tournament public to experience what rated tournaments are like.
Probably 50% drama, 49% looks, 1% chess
Drama sells well.

They do some fun stuff, it is important to encourage all kinds of people to play chess, and that will take all kinds of people making videos. My personal faves are Nelson Lopez and Gotham with a smattering of the ginge.

Alexandra Botez is most beautifull chess player in the world. If it is reason for you to watch her so watch her. If you want chess content you must go somewhere else.

Yes they are beautiful, but play chess much better than the average player on here. Thus there is much many of us can learn from them.

this is completely ridiculous. neither of the Botez sisters are that good at chess, they are just famous for being good looking trash talkers

Even if it is true that they are above average chess players, their channel isn't really about chess, is it? When was the last time they discussed a chess book, or training techniques, or analyzed a game?
