No, but it really doesn't make sense, pdela, and that's against the rules. CPOTM has always made sense(until last month)!Laughing

Since there doesn't seem to be a rule explicitly prohibiting this, I nominate Gonnosuke, for being my favorite of all the recent non-voluntary account closures.

He wouldn't let me nominate ouachita >1 year ago.

'chita rulez!

Conquistador

I nominate suggo for his moderate views on life.

I figured that the entirety of the rules would be in the first post - and that one would not have to maintain such state in order to properly nominate according to all the rules. But if the OP wishes to un-nominate, that is ok with me.

goldendog

Or that there would be a clear and even-handed enforcement of such rules.

Ha. Ha ha ha.

heinzie

I nominate Tonydal, because he has to come back in one form or another

I also nominate Windows-7_, because he's been so nice and quiet lately.

I nominate adude23 for this brilliantly original thread:

This is the one year anniversary of the War & Peace chess.com thread.  Over 45,000 views, 1300 comments, fascinating conflict, dozens of plot twists.  Brilliant thread.  Let's see if we can do it again.  lol

Ahhhh I just read it all.  I'd forgotten about chess-assassins.  Maybe I shouldn't have reminded myself...

theoreticalboy

And far, far, far more compelling than most of his post-70s work...

I also read through the two Karl vs the world threads.  I simultaneously understand and cannot comprehend why I left this place for so long.

theoreticalboy

Haha, no, I surely belong in that category.  No, I came back because memories of all the terrific people on here allowed me to conveniently forget I would have to share a site with those less illustrious members.....

And it is the best place to play chess outside of a good cafe Wink

Except Goodfellas.

theoreticalboy

Especially Goodfellas.

AndyClifton

Goodfellas rules!--whooooo!!!  Best freakin mob movie of all time.

theoreticalboy

No, no, no, no, god no.  There's nothing in Goodfellas.  It's not even a particularly grandiose example of narrative filmmaking, as is The Godfather.

But ugh, seriously, thinking of all the better mob movies is making my head spin.  Sympathy for the Underdog is probably my favourite, for the record.

AndyClifton

Aw, you're high!  Godfather sucks!  A very good-looking picture...but 2 hours of people talking punctuated by the occasional senseless murder.

Hm, my blood pressure is already feeling the benefits of this good-natured bonhomie.
