The site has amazing resources at your disposal. You should improve rather quickly (esp. w/ a fresh mind).
Definitey check out some of the chess strategies. You may already be familiar with them, and you may even follow some of these strategies without thinking of them, but I remember when I first started playing against others (outside of my family) how much my game improved after I learned some of the basic strategies in chess and how to set them up.
Anyway, welcome.

it was a while ago in one of those threads where i complemented you by saying "you are funny sometimes". and it degenrated.

Hi all, I wasn't really sure where to put an introduction, so I hope this is the right spot. Anyway, I love chess, ever since I was younger, but only until very recently did I think about playing it seriously and actually "learning" the game. I'm only 18 and the most chess action I've gotten is playing my brother, nothing anymore serious than that, and since joining the site (about an hour ago
), I've quickly realized I have some learning to do. So yes I'm a beginner, but I plan on quickly improving! Hope to see you in round of chess!
