edit: Sorry, never seen or heard of any infomation of it over here, yet i have heard of this book. i think it does exist... though i have no proof. Sorry.
Searching In Vain?

but I am curious as to whether copies of this book exist.
uuh ok sorry again. dunno where i went wrong.
if you say its as rare as you say, then good luck finding out about it (etc of its owner in chess.com or something if you do find out about it)

Ah, I apologise Lord-Chaos. 'Whether' is supposed to be 'Where'. I have edited my post.
The originals are rare, but as I understand it, at least 250 copies were produced at some point. I know that at least one of these copies is housed in the Spanish National Library, but I'm not planning a holiday just so that I can get to the book!

this might help if you could read spanish and have a comp that can handle it (mine can't, took me ages to copy the url after the 3 not responding episodes happened)

Thanks very much, Lord-Chaos. While it doesn't mention the title of the book as I've given it here, it does refer to it without the suffix, Repetición de Amores y Arte de Ajedrez.
I will keep the page stored and I will scan over it at some point tomorrow.

i just realised, it says the origin, i think its where i came from and it's history instead of where it's location is... but the latest "origin" might lead to where it is =D like "and then King Arthur threw it right into the Spanish Libaries"

certainly not. well i don't think you'll find any luck, gimme back the luck i wished you and put it in my games please, ill be needing some luck to end this game against bakelok somin =(
test live chess 2 please http://www.chess.com/live. Nytik pleh meh?
I am on the hunt for a particular text, but one which I fear may be a little difficult to get hold of- namely, Repetición de Amores y Arte de Ajedrez con ci Iuegos de Partido.
For those of you who know, this is a book published Spain (more specifically, Salamanca) in 1497, and it was written by Luis Ramirez de Lucena. Clearly, I don't want one of the actual published versions (considering there are less than 12 in existence, that would be quite a feat) but I am curious as to where copies of this book exist.
If anyone knows of such a book (in Spanish, probably, as there was never a need to translate it) I would love any information.
