Is he progressing, has he plateaued? Any opinions? What do you think is his potential?

He’ll never be an elite player. He’s basically stalled out in the 2615 range for the past 18 months.
Update: Sam finally passed 2700. He just reached 2703 and is #32 in the world ranking. He's now 21 years old. I thought he stalled out in the mid to upper 2600s but he finally hit the 2700s with his last event.

I don't think he will. Sevian is a great player and quite solid but he doesn't seem to have the brilliancy or drive that the top of the top have. I will continue to respect his play and he is rightfully so one of the best of our generation but he shows no signs right now to me of being a world champion.
