Four rooks, 1 Queen, 2 knights and 6 pawns is dominant against all the weird strats. Don't know how it does against all knights.
Edit - This works against all knights and one queen
Edit - This crushes all knights

Easy setup that will win 90% of games is 3x2 pawn rectangle on the edge with 7 rooks dominating the semi open files. Put the extra pawn on the top right of the rectangle. Will win against any setup that isn’t made specifically to beat it. Watch out for bishops placed to skewer the rooks. Variations with a queen and two bishops and 4 rooks are really effective as a response to someone who tries to counter the setup.
haha, i do that
I have yet to lose with 8 3rd rank pawns and 9 knights. It has only not beaten an 8p-9k setup.
I beat someone using this setup with one rook, 8 staggered pawns, and a few bishops. The one endgame piece really helped.
still holding strong that my setup is the best. a possible flaw of automate is that there can be a dominant setup, but automate sometimes i just play for fun.
My setup with the pieces I mentioned goes something like this, the king and queen being on either side, doesn't matter which.
yeah, today i was hit with the hard truth that my setup isn't quite as op as i thought it was. good, for sure, but i plateaued today, going down 5 from my climb to 1645. i think that my setup isn't that solid, but has promising attacking chances. i once won a game with it in two moves with the doubled rooks on the flank
for me i do 4 pawns in the 2rd and 3rd rank white squares exept the a file
then i put two qweens in the central 2rd rank dark squares and two bishops in the other 2rd rank dark squares and two rooks in the a file
yes
