My calculations state that this is the new top 3 in ratings-

1)@JustARandomPatzer 1773

2)@captaintugwash 1751

3)@Martin0 1733

Wow, if this is accurate I'll be quite shocked. I mean no way is Martin third, but he has just lost two in a row so I guess it's a fair reflection of the current status, even if it's not a fair reflection of overall skill.

This top three feels upside down to me, I still think top three are 1. Martin, 2. me and 3. Patzer, and of course Marks is capable of breaking into the top three too.

I just used the calc table.

Sorry for being late here. Great game by Martin0 and captaintugwash.

Congratulations to Tug for the win!!😃

@JustARandomPatzer has won Candidates Tournament (#4) (here), and so Patzer will be challenging Tug for the World Championship title.

I'll post more information about the next game soon!

Random fact:

This game took 314 days to complete and is the longest bulldog chess game played (the second longest was 252 days in the candidates #2 final between @McGoohan and @thegreatauk).

Maybe we should refer to this game as the π game tongue.png

I just read through this game for study purposes and WOW! So many important nuances with the variant pieces. I plan to put to use the battery idea with the witch clearing the path. Overall, a thoroughly instructive and powerful game.

I should come around to it eventually.
