My favorite chess variant is Crazyhouse chess.
However, your variant also sounds very exciting.
If you can work it out in detail and say publish a book on it or do a Wikipedia article on it
it would be awesome.

what if we made a variant where we have to take every piece. the way it works:
the regular board and pieces:
rules are the same, except you have to take every piece. including the king.
Edit: i dont have a name for it yet, any ideas would be welcomed.
add in the ability to readd pieces and combine them to get power-ups, (for ex: pawns move both ways, bishops can hop over, etc)
remove the stalemates. it has to have check.
