Would anyone be interested in trying this variant? I would need at least six players to join.
Mole Chess

Interesting. Thoughts:
- So the mole wins if their side loses before he gets voted out. What discouragement is there against blatant super-blunders? I suggest some state in between getting to play moves normally and getting evicted, perhaps you get to skip over your teammate for a move.
- If the mole gets voted out and their side still loses, perhaps in large thanks due to moves made by the mole, does the mole still win?
- I assume unilateral resignation is not allowed. Otherwise, the mole could just resign whenever. Does a side have to vote to resign?
- What if a commoner dislikes his teammate, believing them to be the mole, but is not quite sure? I propose, instead of directly voting players out, a 3-strike system, whereby each time players must vote, they can optionally give one teammate a strike, and whoever accrues 3 strikes is then cast off. Of course, since this process is much slower, votes must become more frequent, perhaps every 6 moves.
- If a commoner believes to have mistakenly cast off a fellow commoner, I believe they should have some way of bringing players back. Otherwise, the mole could just wreak havoc once it comes down to 2 players each. Perhaps there could be some kind of "2 hearts" system, whereby upon receiving 2 votes of favor by players still in the game, the next player to thereafter receive 3 strikes would be replaced by the player previously voted out.
- To make the previous point work more smoothly, I also propose that, when two players are left on a team, votes just for that team are increased in frequency to once every 3 moves.

Thanks for the feedback @dax00. "What discouragement is there against blatant super-blunders?" As the commoner you want to prevent checkmate in one opportunities as much as possible. If the mole gets voted out and their side still loses, perhaps in large thanks due to moves made by the mole, does the mole still win? No only players currently in the game are eligible to "win" "If a commoner believes to have mistakenly cast off a fellow commoner, I believe they should have some way of bringing players back." I like this idea. I propose that any player may use their turn to bring back a team member. Because team member may be eligible to return to the game I am going to allow a voted out player to be able to vote to remove another player. This would insure it would never be just two voters on a team. Does a side have to vote to resign? It must be a unanimous vote to resign/draw offer. Draws bring up an interesting point, but I would like to discourage anyone from doing it so in case of a draw moles win. Also if I can find 4 more players too join would you be interested in playing a game?

Would anybody else be interested in trying out Mole Chess? We could also mix it with bulldog, event chess, or infinite chess.

This does sound like it could be really fun. Since both sides would have moles, the game could swing back and forth wildly until the moles were found.

It would go in a rotational format so one player from white moves then a player from black, repeat, repeat then we would start over again. And if a player gets voted out then each player on that team will get to move more often. Would you be interested in playing a game if I could get enough players to join?

Definitely. I assume you'll DM everyone when the game starts and tell them whether they're a mole or a commoner?

Yes, I would direct the game and message everyone their roles. Obviously I wouldn't be participating in the game because I would know the roles.

A couple of extra rules:
Time Control: Each player gets up to three days to move. If a player fails to move in the three day timespan any team member may make a move, but a warning will be accessed to the player. A player will only get one warning before they are removed from the game. If their is a willing substitute they may take on the removed player's role and continue the move. In the case their is no available substitute the player will be voted out until a new substitute is found.
Communication: Offering teammates advice on moves is forbidden, but strategizing on votes and past moves are legal. All communication must be made within the forums unless you announce that you are direct messaging another player. Ex. Chess_Condor is whispering to (Name).
Revealing Role: You may not under any circumstance admit that you are a mole. Even if you have been removed from the game or voted out it is your responsibility to keep your role to yourself until the game has ended.

Great! So far we have three players interested. I could play if somebody not playing assigned roles for me. We need at least two more players to join.

Great! If I play we would have six players. Now all we need to get started is for someone to volunteer to randomly select a mole for each team. Could anybody do that for us it would take less than a minute.

Teams: (I tried my best to keep them as fair as possible)
White Pieces: @JustARandomPatzer, @GoldenWriter, and @NotGeneralGrant
Black Pieces: @Chess_Condor, @TheGreatAttorney, and @GreaterPlayz
Can everyone confirm they are playing, and we are still looking for subs to play incase somebody is unavailable.
Mole Chess is a chess variant that I created. There are two roles, commoner and mole. The commoner's goal is to win the classical game of chess. While the mole's task is to make his/her team lose without being found out. In order to stop the mole the commoner's must root out the mole. This is done by a voting process, every 20 moves (from each side) a vote will be held in which every player has an option to vote somebody off. A majority vote is needed, so if only two players are left on a team a vote will not be held. Moves are made in a rotational format not vote chess.
