A Harpy (formerly Eagle) is a piece that moves like queen + knight.  It cannot capture enemy pieces, but it may capture its own pieces (any of them, including the king), and drop them on the board within two moves.  (Or more, if illegal to drop the piece, e.g. your king is in check and you can't block it).  I played a game of Harpy (using a different board) vs. @Bishop_e3.  Considering your username, I thought you might be interested.

Notes:  The Harpy cannot 'carry' more than one piece at a time.  Pawns cannot be dropped on the first and eighth ranks.

That seems a little over-complicated.  Too many long range non-capturing peices.    I'd prefer Guard and Eagle, if you don't mind.
