How would it work without my rule?

Since 2 pieces are adjacent to each other- black pieces are all adjacent to the white king. The king can pass to any piece adjacent (see diagram). The player will then inform of the new position, and tell his opponent the flag holder has changed. This won't matter much if the other player doesn't know, but if he/she does...

btw you don't need both kings to post diagrams.
