How do we know Martin and Ry aren't really the same person, and he is just having a conversation with himself?surprise.png

captaintugwash

I just commented on this in your game thread with Ry! I can't beat Martin, but I can beat Ry, unless he's deliberately playing worse than Martin to keep up the act! If that's the case, world class trolling imo.

captaintugwash

Because I didn't play well enough. But I saw enough to know I can beat you. I also know you can beat me.

I need to improve a lot to beat Martin, as does anyone currently playing bulldog. He's miles ahead.

Naviary

(I believe ry made a comment before Marin's comment #81, "...", that may have said "Martin is watching...", well.. I know at least he was trying to impersonate Martin0, even with the same profile picture. Then after vick's comment #82, "How do we know Martin and Ry aren't really the same person...", ry posted that you could easily tell the difference between them because Martin's profile pic was of higher quality... and you could tell.Edited 3-31-2019.

Pretty sure this is the first time it's taken me over ten moves to move a pawn.

Nav, can you please link me to your analysis programme thread? I have a new computer, ready to try again! Cheers.

*edit - no worries, found your club post.

captaintugwash

I think @Mcgoohan is better than martin

I'm not sure who he is. Does he have a game scheduled with Martin?

This is one of the wildest openings I've ever seen. Gotta keep my eye on this game.happy.png

McGoohan has not played many games, but when he plays he's formidable. He was one of the players selected to be in the 4-player candidates tournament (His game to start in about 3 days).

I will try to move tomorrow.

captaintugwash

No hurry at all. Auk is on six days and I'm not going to rush him, so take your time.

Your turn tugwash happy.png thanks for being patient.

vickalan

Two months for 12 moves? I'm not complaining - this will probably last more than the six-month game between SuperSam and me.happy.png

I should try to speed up a bit, I could be moving every 2 days.

How many moves was that game vick between you and SuperSam?

Martin0

The game between vickalan and SuperSam1 was 169 moves and 187 days.

Nav - "I should try to speed up a bit, I could be moving every 2 days."

Well don't feel compelled to be fast on my account, but I appreciate that we should not allow the game to drag on longer than it should, since it's a title match and others will want a shot at the winner.

We should try to move within 3 days of Vick's last update, and if we hit 5 days, it should be considered high priority. But I refuse to win this game on time, this is a title match between the two current best players of infinite,  so even if you take longer, I'll continue to be patient even if others are not.

That said, I do want to win by February, since that's when I'm 40, and I want to be a champion by then. At the very least, I want to have what I consider a comfortable lead by then so I know I'll be champion!

He has to beat holo and auk first, which I think he will

If he doesn't beat Holo, he probably loses to me, let alone Martin. I think auk is on the same level as I am, so that'll be an interesting measure. If he crushes auk, then Martin has a genuine challenger.
