Martin0 vs 50Mark
Chessplus (Decreasing draws result)

@Martin0.
It is your turn.
I need your opinion on my new variant :

You want to decrease draws, just flip the board around, play again if the game is drawn, but keep the same time you had when the previous draw was agreed. If zero increment, add 2 second increment. Repeat until a winner is declared. Problem solved.

This won't change the draw rate dramatically. Sure, there would be an extra piece, but if you trade down to endings with symmetrical pawn structure you will have the same problems of making draws. Also, the piece you are proposing is roughly the same strength as a rook, it is just a short-range piece. The relationship between this piece and a rook is similar to the dichotomy between the knight and bishop- they each have positions where one is preferable over the other. Even if this works for a bit of time, eventually we will have the same problem anyway, and it won't be true chess if we change this.

It would be the double king and pawns end game because the new piece's move is like king.

Many times there are positions where we have one king and our opponent makes a barrier in these endgames- a second king will not change this. With symmetrical pawn structures, these positions should be a draw even with 2 kings

@ CoachGunnar.
The second king (new piece) could be sacrificed to open the barrier and gain position or tempo advantage considering the new piece's moves are one square at a time.
In the end game one player mostly have the square number difference toward promotion rank than their opponent's.This slightly advantage will be hard to be predicted.
This variant haven't related to chessplus.com.
We have plan to actualize our two chess variants into online live game.It will be our project.
Good luck with that. Will it be on chess.com and or similar sites? Stand alone site? tyia

Actually we are glad if a certain site could feature these variants (especially FE chess).We also try to merge in one site open source code.Another option is to create stand alone site.
The third variant seems interesting and currently in trial.
You are welcome to feature these variants.I will subscribe to try it.Inform me if you make it.
