It looks like you guys already have four players so I'll sit it out. I'm a little busy anyway.
(the 4: HolographWars, thegreatauk, rychessmaster, McGoohan)
But I might be able to help with starting the thread, and I would love to watch.

About the win condition, I believe the discussion on the other thread ended with this:
Win Condition: To win a team must capture one of the opponent's kings, and checkmate the other. Kings still cannot be left in check, or placed into check (so can't be moved for an exchange). The first checkmated king is subject to capture (and removed from board). The lone surviving king must then be checkmated by the winning team.
notes:
1) When a team has two kings on the board, and one player has a king in checkmate, the player may not move the king, but may move any other piece. If the player has no other pieces, then he skips his turn.
2) When a team has two kings on the board, and both kings are in checkmate, then the opponent has won (a double-checkmate).
Example diagram: White's king is in Black's fate. White cannot play KxQ, but can move other pieces.
After White's move, Black can play QxK. Play continues with Black having redundant royalty, but White's survival rests on a single king.
Oh, that's a lot different. But still awesome!
Never mind about the rules for "Two against two".
That could be the first FFA game where the players face off like this:
But I think it should work, and will be really interesting to watch!
Right now I don't have time to setup 4 armies facing each other going toward the middle. That might also present new difficulties or opening problems that would have to be considered also.
(logging off now for awhile, but will BBL).
You're right. Two armies facing forward and being opponents would be a little strange. Going against your opponent to your left or right might be the best opening, and then later the fragments of what's left start going forward. Not sure if it would work or not.
Here is an abstract representation of one army's possible attack directions.
I want teams! Rychessmaster1 and thegreatauk vs holographwars and McGoohan is also okay with me.
If McGoohan is fine, it's fine with me, but wait, why can't we do FFA with the same setup, seems fine to me
I'm sure we make a good team and as you can see on my photo, I'm also a big fan of the Marx-Brothers
If you guys wanna play let me know. I can mod, but usually only one board update per day, and might miss days sometimes. I might also have travel later this summer (5-6 days almost no play).
If teams next step is to choose teams and player colors. Move order is this:
I want ffa
