Looking for Opponents/Games?

All of Martin's things wouldn't go to paint, so I asked him to convert it. But then I found, and used an image converter.

Um.... HT voted for chat as well. And some haven't voted yet and no chat is going to probably be disastrous!

Well, yes, that's a point but I think we should have all round rules not just every game to themselves.

I think the dark colored pieces for yellow look nicer and your not using the nice purple I provided in post#1183. Also, greens pawns are supposed to be on the other side of the pieces.

Glad to hear you managed to get the pieces to work though. I am not the one doing the conversion, I uploaded a png file.

I agree that chat is an important part of 4 player chess teams right now and we don't have any way to prevent or detect players from communicating, so that form of cheating will happen at some point in the long run.
I'm fine with either way, but from experience some people really dislike when their teammate tells them what they should do, while others get irritated when their teammates don't listen and so on. When I play with a strong player in 4 player chess, I pretty much never want to play a move without my partner agreeing I can play it. And especially when I am the stronger player in the team, I want my teammate to be the same way. Many games have been lost due to poor communication.
I am a bit guilty as well, such as recapturing a queen within 5 seconds without thinking and not waiting for my partner to give advice (the "obvious" recapture was a bad move).
I think it is easier to play for fun with no communication, while with communication allows players to be a lot more try-hard. Not that there's anything wrong with try-hard.

I posted some updated pieces in the club. I think the new red, blue and yellow posted there looks a bit nicer than the first ones I posted. I also added orange, cyan and gray pieces, although I don't think we need to use those.
