Universities and employers don't care about your IQ.
Your friends and family definitely don't care about your IQ either.
Maybe the only organization that cares is the military... and in that case mostly only as a disqualifier... in other words as long as your IQ isn't ~80 it doesn't matter.
I care because I play a lot of mind games such as minesweeper, chess, puzzle books, unofficial IQ tests and some others. Of course I want to excel in my hobbies so it's kind of interesting to me. Not that big of a deal to me though.

Also where are these misspellings everyone is talking about. And I do have auto correct which is why sometimes things might sound a little weird. If I don't keep an eye on it auto correct will change what I say.

Like I said before I know the difference between IQ and knowledge. This a classic example. The fact that I don't know proper grammar to we'll has nothing to do with my IQ rather it has to do with my knowledge. I have excelled in chess far faster than my friends and family who started at the same time or before me ( I started just over a year ago ) also taken unofficial IQ tests in mensa books ( got them at a book store. I'm not in mensa) and I have done extremely well (13/15 which the score chart said was potential was "potential mensa" for what it's worth ). I have also aced my 9th grade algebra class with ease so I don't believe that I'm dumb.

Yes, IQ can be improved but people are most influenced by the factors that increase IQ up to one or two years old. There's an exponentially decreasing ability to increase IQ as we get older but it's still possible.
