chess notebook ideas?

I am writing in a notebook so that I can look at it and study when I am either at home or at tournaments etc. But I also want to write and complete this notebook for future players when I give it to someone. I have the openings written down yet I do not know what to write for the mid and end games. Any advice would help on these two subjects.
