Which is we get silly dialogue in lieu of 2nd rate chess games?

 Don't be so harsh on yourself -- some of what you posted wasn't overly silly, and I'm sure not all of your chess games are second rate.  Besides, you have an eye-catching avatar and have successfully posted with me without embarssaing yourself -- you have those positives going for you!!

I have had an awful story from another chess site with software cheater posing as mysterious super-chess woman. I won't post details, shortly: we chatted, i tried date "her" for the real OTB play, because i was impressed by "her" play level and chess knowledge first. "She" refused of course. When the truth finally appeared, i got angry and sad, because i felt betrayed. I must say this guy stopped doing that, but i stopped playing online for 7 years.

Ooh! er! Young man! Chess is fun, but so are girls! and remember, unless you are Garry, chess is just a game. As for the rest of us, chess will not provide a living or enhance our status. Broaden your horizons, take a girl to a film and dinner, forget chess for an evening. I wonder if you know what experiences you are missing. Plenty of time in a life for both.

You should be interested in women at 22 years old anyways. You can have both, believe me. You could also just find a woman who likes chess.

Here we capture the keen intellect of today's internet chess player. This thread has turned into a living testimony of that which each of us already knows, but often can't prove... that we are simply better than others!

Been married to long to think about this probably, but if I were interested in getting to know a girl who shared similar interests to me, I'd probably join a club, etc in my area and see who was there.

I teach Art and Design. It's always funny to me to hear guys complaining about how hard it is for them to meet girls. I ask them where they go, and they say stuff like "Oh, you know, sports bars, car shows..." etc. Yeah. Good luck with that. I usually tell them. "Well, my intro to pottery class has 23 students. Two of them are men. One's gay." If you want to meet women, don't go to places where there's no one but guys. Criminy, men can be so stupid.

If you're playing a game of chess online against a woman because she's cute, that's pretty pathetic.
