OK folks welcome back to another quick-recap of today's episode of "The BIG Show." As always, it was hosted by IM Danny Rensch, who was a little under the weather today, but still played well enough to score a great result of 9.0/10.

The time controls were the same at 15|30, although the first player mistakenly made it 15|10 but resigned right away, possibly due to that error.

I'm going to try to do a little more in these recaps, adding the name of the opening used in the games and slightly changing the formats, so it's not just 10 PGNs listed. So bear with me.  Cool

Here are the games in the order in which they were completed in. And again, I will be using different board design colors for each game.

Here is the first game vs. lsurocks, who made the error of using 15|10 time controls instead of 15|30. It looks like it was going to develop more into a C47 Scotch Four Knights

Hudlommen was up in game 2 in a C44 Ponziani Opening & Scotch Gambit and was down both bishops, knight and a pawn before move-set 20.

Niklai, who's game was in a B80 Sicilian Scheveningen which included an English Attack, is up next, also falling to Danny rather quickly.

dcmayo was next up on the list in a B72 Sicilian Dragon and yet again, the game ended early.

Now halfway through, the games start getting a little bit more deeper depth-wise and begin to throw Danny back on his heels. erikido was the first and only player today to defeat Danny, throwing off his quest for a perfect show, which would've been his third since this series began a few months back. The game started off in a B55 Sicilian.

Congrats to erikido for claiming the only win vs. Danny today!  Cool

Game 6 went to greg_crawley in a B27 2. Nf3 Sicilian in one of the longest games of the day.

In a C55 Two Knights, chessrace was the next game to finish up.

Next up, Andy_18 tests his might in a B90 Sicilian Najdorf which ended after the 31st move-set.

The final two games include members that have had repeated attempts at beating Danny at these simuls.

Arnaud_RdC's game is in an A46 London, Colle and Torre Systems opening and is interesting all the way down the end.

Finally, kingpatzer, who was playing after having shoulder surgery and amped up on painkillers, had the longest game of the day in an E10 Blumenfeld Gambit, and after 57 move-sets, Danny claims victory.

So congrats to all the players that were chosen today for the show. You have now been immortalized (on some level). And congrats once again to erikido for winning the only game of the day vs. Danny.

Let me know how you feel against the slightly new recap format. Have a great day everyone!
