well, I think Erik had more spare time at that time, site was small and it was some charm attached to this fact. I don't think cheater_1 was a fraud, but sure he was used as a piece of the show-bussiness, till he became unworthy or disturbing
Maybe, but man cheater_1 was GREAT throughout the whole thing. I mean, even if he tired to bring as many people to chess.com as possible, he couldnt have done better.

yeah, it resembles kind of a wrestling feud but cheater_1 appeared by himself, as other subplots in this site soup-opera
