How and why would you give mod to people who joined so recently...

I will list all of the recent mod accounts

I don't care a bit about your reasoning but seriously how can you be so naive

Alright time for the list

1. @UpbeatAngle

Please at least check the credibility of these accounts...

Rodgy

Hmm, that's strange.

Rodgy

I think they are test accounts.

Rodgy

They are all friends with some of the most well known staff members.

Furious_Raptor

Umm yeah I just saw that they joined like 9 hours ago and already a mod? I'm doubting if they're legit.

The only conclusions I can come to is that chess.com accepted a lot of new mods and gave them new accounts so that the moderation does not conflict with their chess.com account or all the mods decided to make alts at exactly the same time or they are test accounts

TraitorousElevator

woah weird

Oka1493

just thought maybe giving them a credibility test would be a good idea

also most of these accounts won't even be used after today

They're like those accounts created just to show chess.com has over 100,000 accounts or something

Oka1493

I would seriously block you just for being a sap about saying hmm

Oka1493

also Free speech exists so go hmm somewhere else -_-

So many things...

  • Notice how they're members of a moderator club.
  • People aren't made mods randomly, they're given training, guidelines
  • Given this level of organization it's not strange to see accounts opened at the same time
  • If someone were hacking they'd steal credit card info not make a bunch of mods
  • If someone were hacking for mod accounts they would only need 1
  • If someone were hacking for multiple mod accounts they wouldn't make them all on the same day and use them to make benign posts in the forums
  • Mods and staff can check IPs
  • Mods and stuff can have multiple accounts, these people may be new to chess.com but there's no reason to assume they are

true but have you ever heard of filler accounts?

@lol

@smh

Accounts like those made in 2008, used for one day and then abandoned?

Thats what these accounts could very well be you know

Oka1493

true...

But like why would chess.com need so many mods...

Oka1493

yeah

A specific someone...

Moderators are allowed to have 2 accounts.  So i would assume the new accounts are the moderator accounts.
