Are you raising the rates?
How disappointed would you be if Chess.com disappeared?

Aloha Erik,
Needless to say we would be "VERY DISAPPOINTED" but then if you don't ask you may not know that! So now that you got that off your mind lets move on!
Mahalo,
Paco

Yes, I agree..Enough now, so time for me to untick the "track this forum box"

Every student of economic history will easily tell u that a customer satisfaction survey always precede a rate increase. This survey is a way to measure the utility value to the customer, given chess.com utility value >1, we the addicted will simply be ready to pay whatever Erik and Co decides to hit us with!

Yup.

This is at risk of becoming an adjective competition.
I, for one, would be immeasurably disappointed.
I'm confused -- for some reason this word 'immeasurably' is not a link to a website, no matter how many times I keep clicking it.
Now that's funny !

InternationalChess - We know, we're just having a bit of fun with it that's all. It's all hypothetical..we know that won't happen..right everyone? :)
exactly! Even the thought of chess.com closing makes me cry myself to sleep!

it's pretty rad though how erik's popularity and control are so emcompassing that only like 3.5 people are even remotely worried about the true motivation behind this survey. everyone is so worried about losing the site, that they're willing to pay millions to keep it going. bwahahaha

I would be pretty disappointed. This site has evolved into my very favorite forms of procrastination. If chess.com disappeared, I would like likely turn back into a deadline-oriented, productive member of society. Where is the fun in that?

i really love getting small glimpses into your alternate view of reality. very interesting! :D (millions?? chuckle)

Chess.com is an intellectual home for me. It's almost always the first site I bring up and the one i'm most excited about. If Chess.com were to e-disappear it would be the death of my favorite outlet. Of course I would get by, but for a while it would be kind of like using your neighbor's kitchen to cook your food. Any other place would feel uncomfortable for a really long time.

OK, next to YouTube, this is my favorite site.
I can't live without Chocolate Rain, Star Wars Kid, and now Erik !

millions is right--they're wrapped around your finge,r not mine. jesus was also an outsider.

Wow...That list of jobs which my wife has for me, might just get done at last..lol
I think the same thing will happen to me here....and I would be very sad to see it goes. My question for erik is how far did you forecast that chess.com will last since you have started it? DId you have plan for it in 5 years time or 10 years time ?
i still think it's weird that erik is asking this question.
shannon, tell me that you like my hat!
why can't you say you like my hat? i've earned it shannon!
You're not wearing a hat!
