v2 is for losers
V3 ALL THE WAY BABY
Well, this just happened:

I'm sure there will be a LOT more to come in the next few weeks.
OK chess.com users. Here's a place to post everything good about V2 and debate why V2 should be maintained. Personally, I think chess.com as a business should consider that by upsetting the status quo and FORCING people to use V3 instead of democratically keeping V2 for the old school, they will certainly not gain any users, only lose some. Any sensible manager would realize that just like gravitation accumulates dust into planets, users beget users.
Tornados will form over the oceans, sweeping up sharks into their vortex. One sharknado will knock the head off the Statue of Liberty. Men will get out their chainsaws, women will get out their tasers, but it may be too late. I don't think anything can stop it now. It may very well be the end of the world as we know it.

Perhaps it will be, but will yet have to wait longer for that day:

You will have 4 types of people:
1. The chicken littles - "The sky is falling" crowd. Nothing chess.com does will ever make them happy.
2. The Emo's - The "indifferent" crowd. They dont care either way.
3. The Chess Crowd - Here is the shocker. There is actually a group of people here that just want to play chess, learn, and interact on a postive note.
4. The trolls - What would chess.com be without them. The cockroaches of the nuclear holocaust. As long as there is something to feed on, they are happy.
Technically those who prefer V2 could club together and code a clone that gets all the info from chess.com but displays it in V2 format. Or they might realise how much effort and expense is involved and that V3 isn't so hellish after all
