A piece that just sits in the middle of the board which is impossible to capture and captures all pieces that go in the center four squares

The Hole!

The Bridge of Khazad-Dum.

In order to capture opponent's pieces you must first cross the Bridge of Khazad-Dum, which is represented by a series of pawns arranged surrounding d4, d5, e4 and e5 and falchioning out towards the far diagonals of the board. If a person who is giving checkmate does not say "Fly you Fools!" upon checkmating his or her opponent, that player immediately loses the game.

BetweenTheWheels

The Chess Coach:  sits on the edge of the board, and after every move you make, asks, "Why did you play that move?"

FortunaMajor

What about the Solitary Soldier? A pawn that never moves and the player cannot place a piece on of the 8 squares that surround it.

The lawyer. I will not explain the rules here, but the book is available for anyone who can afford the shipping costs.

veyronguy

the hypnotizer, the piece that moves like a queen, captures like a queen and when it is threatened to be captured, it makes the attacker piece move two pieces down(even knights) and change to a different color(which is yours) and makes the piece yours for the whole game.(If it is captured, it takes out the piece that captured it,and clears all of the pieces in a square around it(just like atomic))

veyronguy

i did the opposite of what you said

GM_chess_player

Magic Lion

GM_chess_player

which moves like any piece and can promote at the end of square!

Convenient

Posessive Queen - Can only move to locations where it has direct line of site to it's own king.

The Stalker - Attempts to suicide immediately before hanging around the outside of the board following the white queen.

Zoolander Knight - Moves normally but can only ever turn right.

One Armed Pawn - Moves normally but may only take on En Passant

Alcoholic King - Moves normally however when moving roll an 8 sided die to show destination. If destination is occupied by another piece that piece must roll and 8 sided die and move to that location making space for the king. If no space is available or space is occupied that piece gets into a fight with the occupying square and is removed from the game. If the King leaves the board re-roll.

incorrectname

the shapeshifter

starts out moving like a pawn

every 8 moves can turn into a knight, bishop, rook, or back into a pawn

incorrectname

the traitor

one pawn on the opponents side is a traitor, and only you know which one is the traitor

until the first rook on the opponent's side is captured, the traitor moves for the opponent

after the rook is captured, the pawn will refuse to move

once the second rook on the opponent's side is captured, the traitor will become like a normal pawn on your side

The ...

It makes you type the exact requested characters in chat on your move and shortens you time by 10 secs. If you type the wrong character you lose immediately. Pops up randomly and has a chance of knocking your piece out of their square or out of the board. If it knocks your king out, you loose.

RichardChen5064

The randomer

It moves randomly every move and squishes your pieces if it moves to a square your pieces occupies. Squished pieces can not move and just takes up a square. When all pieces are squished unless you are playing the crazyhouse variant with this piece...

Good luck finding the way around it as it is IMMORTAL.

The Randomized piece(not to be confused with the randomer)

The RP can "Shape Shift" to any color of piece at any time even in the middle of a move. However, it has a chance of turning gray(a 5% chance to be exact)and any side can use it if it's gray. It can not be used to deliver check or checkmate. You start with 4 occupying the center squares at the start of a game.

The walking wall

Each side does have 2 of it on the squares of the knights, they move like the king but they can't capture pieces and can't be captured

FlamingWolf

the wsotepi. it captures one of your pieces and replaces your opp.s captured pieces. First it captures your pawns thenwn.pngwb.pngwr.pngwq.pngwk.png. Once it  takes you king you lose.

The king with no sense: If you checkmate it you lose. Its your opponents.                                                      Smasher: Starts in replacement of your queen. It moves up a square each move taking all your pieces in the way. It does not take opponents pieces.                                                                                     Note: not a piece. Spatter:  An engine that spits at you when you make a blunder.

The Rodney Dangerfield:

Whenever you try to move it forward, it turns around and backs up to its original starting position while reciting one-liners to you: "I don't get no respect...", "My wife and I were happy for twenty years. Then we met.", "A girl phoned me the other day and said... 'Come on over, there's nobody home.' I went over. Nobody was home.", etc...
