I have done some tests and my mouse seems to be working perfectly, but on chess.com I'm often making accidental movements dropping the pieces where I don't want to. Does anyone know how to solve this?

You didn't understand, I'm talking about dropping the pieces before I want to, as if I was releasing the mouse button.
Like in my last match, I tried to move Qd1 and accidentally moved Qc2 instead, which resulted in checkmate for my opponent.

You can click the piece, then click the square you want to move it onto instead of dragging the piece

i have a different problem, often i move my piece but the move doesnt register and the piece gets literally bounced back to its original square, so i have to make the move again, sometimes this is fatal in bullet

i play on a trackpad, and this never happens to me. Probably because you're using a Bluetooth mouse?
