North Korean Players

Quick question regarding the flag thumbnail that represents a player's location. Is it based on IP address or is it entirely up to the location the player specifies? I figure it's the latter since practically nobody in the DPRK is allowed to access the real internet ( they have a country-wide intranet that I'm aware of but figure chess.com would not be on their approved list ).

They are all members of the ruling elite, those guys get the real Internet.

I played someone claiming to be from North Korea too.(And won even though he was almost 100 higher than me!)

They only have a youLeader site there, with some vids of the leader, and a wikileader with facts about him (like he sweats Coca-Cola for example).

I don't think so. Why would people lie on the internet?

But we are told that North Koreans have no access to the internet... All these people are members of the elite?
