I remember a case where I played someone and every 2 moves he says 'no software pls', I was annoyed by the comment so I everytime responded 'You Too ;)'. After I lost the game and checked Stockfish how well he played, seemed stockfish said he played near perfect chess.
Not Every Slow Player is an Engine at Work

I'm fairly new to chess.com. Literally within my first handful of games, I was blocked by a player and then reported for "engine" use. The Staff at chess.com handled this like seasoned pros. At no time was my activity or my account called into question by the site. And why would a paid account risk it? There is absolutely nothing to be gained from it. Certainly not for a few rating points.
I tend to take my time playing, even in blitz. More than 2/3rds of my losses are due to losing on time. I'm here to practice, not take on GM's.
Today, another player stated "engine" in a comment.
Folks, get real. There is nothing to gain from engine use, especially at lower ratings. Quit suspecting every capable player of cheating. Thank god, chess.com has tools in place to sniff out this very sort of behavior.
I'm here to improve my game (rusty from over 2 decades of atrophy). Hopefully you are as well.
