Again, this goes back to the definition which could be interpreted to not require physical attributes to remain a sport. Basically, my point is that chess is a sport in every aspect, including its physical attributes, due to the manifestation of physical characteristics by mental ones.

Yes, he said sports dont require physical skill. So naturally I'm curious what sport doesn't require physical skill. I've never heard of such a claim. I'm pretty sure nobody else has either.

In common usage among non chess players, 99% of people would say that chess is not a sport. In common usage, 99% would say that basketball is not a board game (there’s always one troll). If you can twist the definition of sport to make chess fit, you can twist the definition of any competitive activity from stare-downs to best-dressed at the Oscars into a sport.
