I think the point is that by paying for the use of the site (and thereby supporting its development) you get benefits such as this one.
im a paying member and i cant play...
but somehow a 1450 can play and somehow a non paying member can play and they both break the rules of this simul..

Rex is providing a service. For free. When someone provides something for free, those who are eligible say thanks, and those who aren't eligible say "oh, that was nice of him."
The 1400 in question was u1300 when this was first announced, and they registered for the event at that time, and when it came time to start the event, Rex was happy to still include them. (Btw, if you read previous posts, you would have understood that).

yes i may have gone over the 1300 but i registered wen i was 1200 something
i think this is really good of Rex to donate his time like he has done

Yes.. you have a point.. hes titled.. but come on.. wouldnt it be nice to be in a simul against someone playing 100 games at a time and seeign how he does?
