Playing from specific positions

I'm quite new here and only had a few games, but I've made loads of mistakes and so have my opponents. I've also seem other people's games where I think I would have dealt with the position differently.

It would be really interesting to either offer to play my game from position X or to request to play someone else's game from a certain position. Perhaps many people could do the same thing simultaneously and learn a lot about how each other dealt with it. Is there anything like that on here?

I agree, it would be nice to set up practice positions. Unrated, of course.

• You can select from about 3,000 starting positions.
• You could use an (unrated) takeback game to make the moves to get you to a specific starting position.
