Poll: Do you like V3 as it currently stands?

Slow loading is merely annoying in daily chess, I haven't tried live chess in v3 recently... if the board was that slow to load after each move in live chess... Frown

It looks like a promotion movie for chess.com. In v3 I LOOK  .. get dizzy... colours, pictures... if I want to DO something, in v2. Quicker, easier GUI.

It's odd how many people don't like change. I have been a member of chess.com for a long time. At least 8 years I think. During that time I have seen many changes to the site. In each case, I think the site gets better. Chess.com don't make changes to purposefully annoy people you know. They make them because they believe people will like them. And they almost certainly will engage in various methodologies (such as focus groups or surveys) to understand what their users want so that they can make the right upgrades. I think they get it right.

It's just odd that there is always a small group of people who will be infuriated by change!

There is nothing odd about people not liking change.

 No.

I didn't like it at first, but I am used to it and can navigate it. I agree that 2+ seconds to load a game is too long. I also have people signing themselves for daily chess without my consent.

Wait a minute... you're saying that on V3 people are starting daily chess games against you that you didn't agree to? If that's happening it's a pretty serious bug...

I have never had that happen. When challenged, the game does show up like it is active but you have the option to decline it.

Well it happened to me 4 games are in my daily chess that I didn't accept to.

Lately in the world much change to the worse is happening. Haven't you noticed?

True That!! No One Can Afford The Good Life! Always too much money needed to get something done / so they cut corners on the expenses!?

camter

Could be better could V3.

Not really, as my timers glitch when it is my move in live chess. As for all the complaints of cheaters, I don't think there are nearly as many as some people think.

It's worse now than it ever was... i've seen players who have to play against cheats in every other game. And that's just the ones who have been caught so far...

camter

Camter's last stand is taking place here.

What irony!

On a thread of Macer's.

Tea anyone?

Tea's off, dear!

This has no doubt increased due to the changed policy of allowing non-premium accounts to play unlimited tournaments, (it used to be 1 a day and 3 a week I think).

I don't think basic members get unlimited tourneys. Last I knew it was still 3 a week for Live

frankooo

A cheater playing agaisnt a non cheater gives that non cheater a false perception on how good they are using their thinking capabilities to make moves rather than a computerized chess board or analyze tools to make moves for them...In my opinion internet chess sites condones these game plays tactics in hoping those who think they are not good in purchasing the videos and books to better themselves in playing chess..Without face to face interaction there will always be doubt in honest mind vs mind chess games using the internet...V3 is not an improvement if cheating still flourishes...
