Cool thread idea. This is the earliest rapid chess.com game I got, but I was surprised to see I won
This game was about a month after I've been on chess.com though as I originally began with 5 minute blitz simply for not knowing better. I thought 5 minutes was "normal" and didn't know about using more time for learning or thinking for better quality play etc.
Also a fun little tid-bit of information is that my opponent takmaster37 was a friend of mine in real life. They wanted to play against me in chess because they saw me playing online a bunch, but we didn't have a chess set at the time, so we played on chess.com, at our local library, on the computers next to each other
p.s. My original chess.com rating stabilized around 1150 or so if I recall, but when I first learned the rules of chess in elementary school, I'd estimate my rating ability around 700 or so looking back on it. I didn't even know ratings existed back then and almost never played though - pretty sure I didn't even know what a chess grandmaster was
Oh my... 2017 first rapid game ever for me is pretty bad ngl... How'd your past self do?
