No need to feel hurt because someone declined your rematch offer. And no need to punish them for that.
rematch etiquette

The most elegant solution I've seen to the rematch problem (which has been around since at least 1993) is the implementation of the 1 0, 3 0, 5 0, and 15 0 "pool play" games on [competitor's name redacted - staff].
Edit: But I think most people know which competitor I'm talking about.

If you won the first game and your opponent wants a rematch, you have no option but to oblige. If your opponent won the rematch and you want to play again and challenge him, he must oblige, until you both play continuously, after all this is just chess. Your necks are not part of the bet, in fact there's no bet at all. This is just games of chess. Just to enjoy and having fun.

Winner of the first game, who are not keen to giving a rematch are little boys, who won by accicdent.

first game losers are little boys who should get over their hurting egos and play babies they can beat blindfolded

Well, while it's nice to have a white and black (only seems fair), but bottom line is nobody owes anybody anything.

It's not etiquette. It's an option.
exactly right...the best option is to get on with another game and dont post this tired done to death etiquette whine

Whether I win or lose I never accept a rematch and I never offer a rematch, because I don't like having the same opponent again. People who complain get blocked.
Totally agree!
still the projection from those calling others hurt and angry...and now one says the best option for those upset at runners is to stop posting so much in here and play....and he's the most prolific poster in here! At least alex-rodriguez claims a real reason but even he doesn't explore the why very well. I'd say the ones getting angry at having their courage and etiquette questioned, explore why they run instead of demanding that people accept them. As I think cornbeefhashvili pointed to, we all know you CAN refuse a rematch...so you can keep running and we can keep commenting on it.
