- intentionally disconnect during games
- stall to make opponents wait unnecessarily
- frivolously abort games because they don't want to play black, etc. (Note that we have now implemented a limit on the frequency with which users may abort games; please Abort only when necessary. Also see below.)
If your account is flagged for habitually breaking this policy, your play will be restricted, requiring you to wait 5 minutes between games (including aborted games).
Players have to make their first move in a game within the first 20 seconds otherwise the server aborts the game and the person who didn't move gets flagged. The server monitors all games so this isn't triggered just by one or two.
As you're new and didn't know this, I've lowered the restriction for you this time.
I am new to Chess.com and I like it! I have been restricted, having to wait 5 minutes between games. :( I do not know how I violated the policy. I have seen games aboirt but I did not do anything to abort them. I do not know how to abort them. Sometimes when a game start and I am playing black it will abort. What am i doing wrong? Thanks for your help. :)
