Hey, welcome!
A few small peices of advice from a pre-intermediate.
I've been playing online for about 8 months and a few things I would have done differently from the start..
1) Try not to play too many games at once, this can be confusing online and can interrupt your "thought-train". You may forget what you where doing in other games. You will however find an amount that suits you personally.
2) Challenge players at and above your rating but not too far above.
3) Analyse your losses, just like life they are valuable learning tools

hello guys. i'm a starter here trying to expose myself in the chess community. i really love the game but there's a very limited resources here in my place so i opted to the internet to improve myself. i found out chess.com and i think there are a lot of good guys here. i hope to be able to make friends here and learn from you guys. tanx a lot.
