When someone rematch against you, it is not a must to attend to it, you can decline or even completely ignore it.
That said, rematch in itself is not bad. some people like to play two games as white and as black against a single opponent. some rematch when they feel you got lucky with the win. some rematch when they think you are an easy opponent and they will like to fetch some rating points from you.
There are others who rematch, because you played well and they enjoyed the game and will like to play you again. There are a lot of reasons why people rematch and you shouldn't get pissed because someone sent you a rematch.
more over, everyone cannot share the same opinion with you as regard to rematch.

I have been called coward several times for refusing a rematch. haha. One time, I was trying to explain to my opponent that I would have rematched but can't because I have something to attend to at the moment. My explanation fell into deaf ears as all he wanted was a rematch. He sent some abuses my way for refusing a rematch. People can be really funny sometimes.

Personally, I almost always accept rematch offers, unless I don't have time or my mind is exhausted. Most people decline when I offer one, though.
