Does chrome have stuff similar to adblock and noscript? I can't imagine browsing without them.
The best browser: Chrome - Download it now!

There's still the issue with Google Chrome of intermittent tinymce glitches.

Only thing I use Chrome for is my Google accounts stuff. Anything that needs IE I use that, and the rest I stick with Opera. Got rid of Firefox a while back because it kept asking me what to do with PHP files (instead of executing them).

PS. Has anyone else had problems updating their status? Mine shows the code of the page after I do it, and when I go back, it's updated.

Problem with Chrome is that it is very slow when 100 tabs are open (like I always routinely do on Firefox xD) since each tab is it's own process!
Chrome isn't good for people who like to play with the browser settings like proxy filters. Moreover it's not WinXP-friendly and has no support for Microsoft Silverlight or Adobe Flash.
Chrome's UI is too simple for someone like me but if you are not as extreme in computing as me go for it! Otherwise stick with FF 3.6 (which has GPU-accelerated page rendering xD). IE has no extensions and is the slowest of the 3 browsers.
Chrome does have flash support because I can play on AddictingGames normally. However, some things do not load that load normally in IE or FF.

I'll ask again. This is an honest to god question. Aside from a being speedier by a nose, what does Chrome offer that other browsers don't? In other words, what would make me want to switch?
Erik? Anybody?
Well if you're using IE, then definitely chrome is more fast and secure. As for why to choose it over firefox... I guess if you like the slick interface, and it has a built in bookmark synchronization feature. One plus is simply that it's from Google. They make all kinds of innovative stuff and often make their products work together. Their Chromium operating system is in the works, so I'm sure Chrome is going to do lots of evolving.

One plus is simply that it's from Google.
Plus? This is actually the main reason I've been avoiding it.
Faster or slower about internet browsers, it would be appropriate to know the specs of the computer, PC spec is what basically makes the difference in transmission speed.
There is a lot more that fast and slow.
<cut for brevity>
So what is a basic speedy PC today you ask?
1. Socket Lg775 or higher (Intel).
2. RAM 2 GB with possible expansion to 4 or more. I have 4.
3. CPU duo or quad.
4. FSB 1333MHz or more.
Yes, there is a lot that goes into weather a website is fast or not, but... the point Erik is trying to make is, ON THE SAME COMPUTER, Chrome is faster than FF. When all else is equal, Chrome is the fastest browser out there. Period.

One plus is simply that it's from Google.
Plus? This is actually the main reason I've been avoiding it.
Because of idealogical reasons or something? Google provides some amazing apps: Docs, Calender, Gmail, Maps

100 tabs? instanity.
not win-XP friendly? i'm on XP with no problems.
no flash? are you joking?
beautiful, simple UI.
it's window style is for Windows Vista (and on XP it tries to ENFORCE that)
Last time Flash wasn't supported, and Silverlight still isn't.
I don't like simple UIs and yes I do open 100 tabs.

I'll ask again. This is an honest to god question. Aside from a being speedier by a nose, what does Chrome offer that other browsers don't? In other words, what would make me want to switch?
Erik? Anybody?
it's not speedier by a nose, it's significantly faster.

One plus is simply that it's from Google.

Maps? Amazing? The last time I used Google Maps for directions it sent my mom into a dead end (well short of getting to me). Which is why it was the last time I used Google Maps for directions. And Google itself? The popularity contest squared search engine? No thanks. And Gmail? Yeah, I need another email account like I need another hole in my hard drive.
Three strikes. Google's out.

Erik? Anybody?
I appreciate the reply, but that didn't answer the question. :)
Since it has Erik's endorsement, your chess.com experience should be fluffier.

My hair stylist gives me a fluffier experience.
Aside from being fluffier, does Chrome offer anything else?
It gives you a 'co-ordinated look and feel' between your chess.com client, search engine, mapping/navigation aid and email provider - that some people consider important.
And you can add desktop search as a matching accessory.
I think which browser works best varies from computer to computer and even
day to day.
I am having great luck lately with Firefox 3.6. I had great luck with Chrome when I first started using it and then it started having bugs. I still use IE6, as
it is steady although not perfect. Sometimes Safari works well and other times
not well at all for Chess.com. I haven't tried Opera yet.
The bottom line is the internet is an ever-changing ever-evolving cyberworld
of mystery that even our smartest people don't fully understand, just like chess.
