The site had a hardware failure, it wasn't planned.
That said, you might open a ticket about it and they might reinstate the games, though I can't guarantee that.

Hello!
I really like playing on chess.com and I do it a lot. Yesterday you were doing updates on the server - which unfortunately made me loose three games on time, because I couldn't access them. That's a bitter feeling - even if I would have lost them anyway. ;-)
So my suggestion for next time you need to do server updates, would be to pause the games so nobody can time out, and possibly inform when the server will be back up.
Otherwise, thanks for making a great service
