To those that mock you with "Why couldn't you Googles that"?

If you want to find something out, e.g. how many grams in 1 pound, google it. If you want to learn how do something: play the french defense, change a headlight, make a good omelette, YOUTUBE.COM.
Actually, even if I wanted to know how many grammes are in one pound, I'd ask someone in a forum. I wouldn't rely on google.
good riddance.
Relax, guy. You should try to smile more. You seem grouchy.

Google is manipulated by people who do search engine optimization. Whatever comes up after a search is likely whatever has been pumped up to the top by these SEO jerkoffs often by blackhat or less than honorable techniques. I don't trust it. If you have to search the web use more than one engine, or a meta-search engine like Dogpile or Ixquick.

I think all search engines are manipulated to some degree. That's why you have to search deep and often use craftier keywords.

No one forces you to pick any of the results from the first 10 or 20 pages.
I look at the summaries and the websites to get an idea of where I want to go.
For example, if I google "chess", I get 34,400,000 results. On the 2nd page one of the links is http://www.chesscafe.com/ and on the 10th page one of the links I got was http://www.everymanchess.com/. later, on the 20th page of results, one of the links was http://chicagochess.blogspot.com/
So I dont see what the problem is. Its just a search engine. I could sit there all day and pull up links.
And if you dont like the order...can you tell me what a fair order is? Links have to be pulled back sequentially. Something has to be at the top of the list. Something has to be dead last. Whats fair?
Would you mind very much listing out for us the order of those 34 million links in what you would consider a fair order? I've got time. Just do like 100,000 a day, you should be done in roughly a year.

Fact: What year did "Gone with the Wind" premiere? Google it.
Opinion: What's a good red wine? Discuss.
Succinct and to the point.
I found it a tad dry, although the woody undertones were nice.

I don't have have a solution for you. Just be aware these things are manipulated! Especially when it comes to long tail searches. There's always some internet marketing vulture who has snatched up some domain name, plastered it with AdSense and Amazon affiliate links, and then spun out a bunch of text full of keywords just so they can make a few cents on click throughs.

OF course I have an ugly part of me. I'm ex-military. Everybody has an ugly part. They just don't know it yet. Your ugly part shows when you want to bad mouth this country.
