Unfair connection timeout policy!

Thanks for the suggestions. Have you been able to complete a game since? Or are you still having issues with the connection?

@jac1yn - I am sorry, but based on the response, you do not have a clue what I was talking about. Sorry, read more carefully

You're the type of person nobody likes helping. Just saying.
You recently recieved a lost due to disconnection (not on your end you claim) and are giving three suggestions to chess.com to help correct this problem. Jac1yn not only acknowledged your suggestions and thanked you for them he also was courteous enough to ask if you were still having problems playing your games.
tl;dr don't be a jackhole to people trying to help you.

@New_Member24 - first, I said "Sorry" twice, the first time to indicate that I regret that someone on duty does not spend enough time reading and understanding before asking a question on something that was already stated. The second time I said sorry before suggesting the proper way to handle the inquiry. I did not call anybody names, like you did. Learn manners.

Oh. You said "sorry". My bad. Carry on being rude. I always forget that saying a single word excuses rudeness in society.
Edit: I find it extremely creepy that you're arguing with me in old threads I've posted in before. Please leave me alone.

Ditto and do not forget to take your anxiety pill.

@chessirski- The reason i asked if you were still having connection problems was because you mentioned that your network connection at the time was fine :)
In regards to your other comments- The game clock runs the same for everyone. Sometimes if you're experiencing lag your browser won't update the clock so that its showing the right time. When you reconnect the clock should update, which is probably why you lost the game on abandonment.
The issue with allowing people their entire game time to reconnect is that we'd end up having users who play a 30|0 game, disconnect 15 moves in, and then their opponent would have to sit there and wait for the next 25 minutes :(

@jac1yn In that particular instance it appears that your site was having a problem as it was taken down within a few minutes. Lag - I am not taking about the lag - it is clear how it works.
The main issue remains - when unreliable connection drops, it may take more than 2 minutes to recover and the game is over while the player has plenty of time to win the game. Mobile players may experience that a lot. I understand that without such rule, when a player really abandones a long game, the opponent has to wait until the clock runs out, but would it be different at a game when people face each other and the opponent leaves without indication whether it is for a bathroom break or forever? If you really want to keep the rule, then change it to 5 minutes. Even the most impatient player can wait that long. You may want to introduce a rule that would allow putting opponents on the black list if for some reason he/she does not act properly. Dropped games, cheating, abusive language, refusal to start the game - are all good reasons to take a spot on such list. If someone starts appearing on too many black lists, then you may want to take some action.
My chess.com connection was dropped while every other network connection was working. I was winning and had over 2 minutes left to win the game against the opponent who was in a few seconds. Once connection was restored in well below 2 minutes as allowed to reinstate one, but the game was over. The site has awarded the other side a win as the game was "abandoned". I believe the policy should:
* Allow to use as much time as was left in the game to reinstate connection and complete the game
* Follow the stated rules - the game expires much faster than in 2 minutes as stated in the policy
* When connection goes down and it is on my time, I should be able to see the board - it is my time, damn it - let me think through at least if I cannot make a move!
