Intellect and ettiquette (not sure is the correct spelling) varies.. Wisdom, courtesy etc... never come along with high intellect. Keep on writing, I am sure you will open up some clouded hearts, at least to wonder.. As for the chess culture (ettiquette) not everybody knows unless you r in that social group. Well, to many it is just a game.

What does this have to do with chess? Maybe with honour... There are alot of injustice in the world so just suck it up
Yeah a lot of senseless injustice that could be remedied by humans realising they can stop the viscious cycle of madness by refusing to abuse someone else just because they've been abused.

i was going to praise chess.com for the new interface, i have raised my rating over 75 points due to playing more evenly matched players...but then i see they go and delete a forum topic i posted titled "black leather and fake guns". that forum was about the random function that i thought was forcing me to play black more than white. i assume it was because the title had the word gun in it... but it also said the word fake before it. i am a lil upset about this... black leather and fake guns are my heritage, culture, and way of life... i perform as a fake cowboy in the theater for a living.. i take great offense to chess.com for deleting my post!!!!!!!!
has anyone else noticed a lot of people that are staff and players are very rude?? what happened to chess etiquette?? when i learned to play chess oh so long ago, i was taught that chess is a game for the intelligent and civilised. i was taught one should always say hello anf good luck before a game, and to always be humble and say good game wether win or lose. seems like internet chess has thrown the civility out the window, with people hiding behind their computers they have resorted to the lowest of evolutionary planes!

plus the other day i was in the mainhall chatroom and the staff in there was named Erik, i asked him how to become a staff member and he assumed i was a child, belittled and insulted me in front of everyone. i said he was a bad staff memeber and he and others in the chat said erik is the owner of the chess.com site. if this is true, he seemed very pretensious, cocky, presumtuous, and rude. once i told him how much i use chess.com and that i promote it on a few other internet sites, erik decided to open a personal chat with me to appologize.. i thought this itself was very rude, he could insult me in front of the whole main chat hall but couldn't appologize in front of everyone..
if you have had rude and abusive encounters here on chess.com, comment and repost this!!! because chess.com will probably try and delete this post too..
