to reiterate, and draw attention...
i still can't go to my home page and go to topics i've started. they are unavailable.
i do not understand how this site makes a choice to focus on other things and ignore what was a regular function. it's as if all that matters is what is in development, and malfunctions about things that were previously 'normal', do not matter.
the fact that a member cannot go to their homepage and see topics they have started is a huge fail.
i can't think of another site i regularly visit that has this "odd" way where members can't go to their topics.
and, it seems that cc does not give a crap about fixing this.

I believe work is still being done to split out tables from the databases to help limit the load, especially when there's there's a lot of traffic. The Homepage data that was originally there, had very high database loads, snd was generally hit after most login events.
Those features will likely be back when all the related content areas are fully migrated to their own databases.
I paid $49.99 for a Gold Membership. That's enough to pay a software engineer's wage for 35 minutes. Let's get to work Chess Dot Com.
well, monkey, that might be a good point...
until you realize that the majority of income is likely ads. i would guess around 70-80% of revenue is from ads, especially the way the site brags about the size of the membership.
here's another bug. in one group, virtually all members are shown as having last logged in march 8, 2023.
one of the guys passed away last year.

They'll give you the gold finger for that unlike the one they give the rest of us.

yeah, bunny turned me on to that workaround over a year ago, but thanks. maybe it will help others.
can you tell us how we can find our groups? i can't be the only one where they no longer show on my homepage.
i know where they can stick that flag.
