why are people so paranoid over there opponents chess playing abilities, never bothers me!!?

Can think of better things to do than worry over what my opponents may or may not be doing or not doing during my games, couldn't care less personally!!?

People get told...hey if you are a 1200 you are just a beginner.....then they see their rating below 500.
1200 puts you in the top 30 percent at this site.

It's really not worth the energy to get so paranoid over whether your opponent is or isn't doing the naughty during his or her play, my advice is play your game honestly and not worry about others, I don't aa if they are they they will be found out! Maybe Levy Rozman will hack in on a random challenger and pretend to be "yettiman67" or something and check them out and report them, that's there job not ours, and they will get found out so just play your games honestly and stop being g so paranoid!!?

Ratings feel personal. People tie self-worth to a number, so when it drops, it triggers ego defensiveness.

God knows then how these paranoid rating accusers would cope if they played over the board play in there local county chess leagues?! They be pulling there hair out and accusing there opponents of God knows what unbelievable!!?

I think most are just paranoid about run-on sentences. They scare the dickens out of ‘em for some reason. 😉
When I looked at the losses of about 50 players who complained about losing to programs, I saw little evidence of cheating. They are simply losing because of their own poor play and blaming it on cheating.

It's a common problem in online games. It can't possibly be me who would lose right? I'm too good for that lol. Obviously it has to be some other external factor like cheating or lag or whatever the game is. Take rocket league, everyone blames bad play on their teammates. It's really stupid and annoying. I think this happens a lot more online than in person because online it is harder to recognize someone. So if someone says something offensive there is less chance of recognition. There is a term for it called deindividuation.

People who don't feel in control of their life blame things on external factors instead of internal factors. This called external locus of control

Maybe I'll start obsessing over cheating when my game improves. My opponents don't need to cheat, as I am generous to a fault with gifts of mistakes and blunders.
By coincidence, since I posted my last message, I received a notice from chess.com that one of my opponents had violated the fair play policy and that I was given back the points that I lost. So, nothing lost from having played a cheater.
in my experience, perhaps 1 in 100 to 200 of my opponents get banned. So, this is not a frequent occurrence. When it happens, I regain lost rating points. In addition, reviewing the game provides a lesson that may be worth 8 points.
